Colwick Hall

Mel Morris prepared a Conservation Statement and Development Brief for Colwick Hall in Nottingham in 2000, whilst employed by Nottingham City Council. The building is a grade II* listed building and was designed by John Carr of York. It had become redundant and fallen into disrepair.

It was identified as a major “building at risk” by English Heritage. The Conservation Statement was sufficiently detailed to inform the restoration of the building and was used as the basis for negotiation over development proposals in association with English Heritage.

The building is now in use as a hotel & conference venue.
